Phormium cookianum purpurea is a native New Zealand flax with drooping, twisted seed pods and purple, wide, weeping leaves. Very easy plant to grow, and suitable for use in a wide range of applications from farms, riparian plantings, subdivisions, to larger landscaping plans. Fantastic food source for native birds. Tolerant of dry, cold and exposure. Grows to approx. 1.5m x 1.5m when mature.
